It's been in the back of my mind for decades what the backlash might be for the one-child policy, after it seemed it one (unexpected??) outcome was a slight overall bias towards male children.
We might be seeing one more perverse outcome. i.e. a perceived need by insecure, threatened males, to stop the natural evolutionary biological tendency of a male saturated 'mating' market.
